The organization of the first large-scale pickleball tournament in Hanoi marks a new development step for pickleball, opening up many opportunities to approach and spread this relatively new sport to a large number of Hanoians, especially the youth.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Editor-in-Chief of Economic & Urban Newspaper Nguyen Thanh Loi said that the first Economic & Urban Newspaper Pickleball Tournament - 2025 is not only a healthy and useful playground for pickleball lovers but also an opportunity for athletes to exchange, learn, improve their physical strength and spiritual life.
"Through the tournament, we hope to encourage people to exercise, improve their health and together build a healthy and united community," said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Loi.

The first Economic & Urban Newspaper Pickleball Tournament - 2025 took place on March 15-16, at the Pickleball Court Complex of the Center for Culture - Information - Sports and Tourism of Cau Giay District, No. 35 Tran Quy Kien, Cau Giay District, Hanoi.
As of March 12, the tournament has attracted more than 400 athletes to compete in 10 events. The events are diverse, suitable for many ages and levels, including: Amateur Men's Doubles under 40 years old; Amateur Men's Doubles over 40 years old; Amateur Women's Doubles under 35 years old; Amateur Women's Doubles over 35 years old; Amateur Mixed Doubles under 35 years old; Amateur Mixed Doubles over 35 years old; Open Men's Doubles; Open Women's Doubles; Open Mixed Doubles and Open Men's Singles.
