Date with the night street

For Saigonese who have lived in the city for a long time, "going to Saigon" means going to the central area, the City Theater, Le Loi Street where Bach Dang ice cream is famous from the subsidy period, Ben Thanh Market selling delicious food, Nguyen Hue Street, Bach Dang Wharf with bustling tourist boats...

There are many places to see, but in reality they are located next to each other within a radius of about 1km, standing at one point you can see the other. The center of Saigon is very suitable for walking and admiring the splendid streets. The itinerary starts at the Gothic-style Municipal Theatre, built in 1898. Today, it hosts operas, ballets, symphonies and other famous art shows. On event nights, the theater lights up splendidly from the inside out. On other days, the front yard of the theater becomes a popular photo spot for young people because of its spacious and airy space, and every angle looks beautiful. Nearby are also ancient buildings that are carefully decorated according to the season, such as the Caravelle Hotel on the left, which has existed for more than 60 years, and the oldest hotel in Vietnam - the Continental Hotel on the right. Sitting on the stone steps in front of the theater, which are lit up, you can watch people and vehicles passing by on Dong Khoi Street. The distance from the steps to the street is only a yard, but just enough so that the noise from the vehicles is not too annoying. From the theater, you can see the stop of the double-decker city tour buses, then Le Loi Street with the spacious Metro Opera House Park. After the park, you will reach the Nguyen Hue water music performance area. When the street lights up, this area also sparkles with a constantly changing light display. On weekend nights, young people gather around the water music area.

To the right of the water music wheel is the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee building with ancient French architecture. At night, under the yellow light effect, the building seems taller and more brilliant but still maintains harmony with the surrounding landscape.
