Da Nang City People's Committee signed a memorandum of understanding with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) (Photo: USAID).
Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee and Ms. Aler Grubbs, Director of USAID Vietnam signed the memorandum on January 26 at the Da Nang Meet 2024 event.
The U.S. Mission to Vietnam and Da Nang are collaborating on a number of shared priority development areas, including clean energy, pollution reduction, higher education, and support for persons with disabilities.
Within the framework of the signed memorandum of understanding, USAID and Da Nang plan to expand development cooperation to promote innovative solutions in the fields of economic growth, clean energy, energy efficiency, environmental protection, climate change response, healthcare, and human resource development.
This MOU will contribute to Da Nang’s human resource development and green economic growth and is a demonstration of the United States’ growing partnership to support Vietnam in achieving its future sustainable development goals, consistent with the United States-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership announced in September 2023.
