Hoi An issues code of conduct for officials, civil servants, public employees and workers

In particular, the general code of conduct for civil servants and employees at the one-stop department stipulates working hours; dress code, demeanor; sense of organization and discipline; code of conduct for performing public duties and tasks; and behavior of civil servants and employees at agencies and units.

As for the code of conduct for performing public duties and tasks, there are regulations on what civil servants and public employees must do, such as respecting and wholeheartedly serving the people; being clearly aware of their own responsibilities and duties, being ready to accept and strive to complete all assigned tasks well; respecting, listening, wholeheartedly guiding on work procedures and clearly explaining questions from organizations and citizens; implementing "4 pleases, 4 alwayss" including greeting, apologizing, thanking, asking for permission and always smiling, always gentle, always listening, always helping.

In addition, Hoi An City People's Committee also specifically regulates the communication rules of civil servants and employees at the one-stop department; the conduct of civil servants and employees receiving and handling administrative procedures; the conduct of the head of the one-stop department; the conduct of tour guides or other service staff.

The promulgation of the code of conduct aims to build a standard working style and manner of conduct for civil servants and public employees, ensuring professionalism, integrity, responsibility, dynamism, transparency and efficiency in performing tasks and public duties, meeting the requirements of serving the people and society; building a service-oriented, transparent and effective administration.
