National conference on land use adjustment plan

On January 4, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha chaired the National Online Conference on the plan to adjust land use targets (SDĐ) until 2025 allocated by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 326/QD-TTg dated March 9, 2022. Attending at the provincial bridge were comrade Phan Tan Canh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches and localities.

According to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE), by December 31, 2022, the implementation results of the land use targets allocated by the Prime Minister under Decision No. 326/QD-TTg of localities reached 8.68%. In order to meet the land use needs for socio-economic development of localities, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has chaired and coordinated with relevant ministries and branches to conduct surveys and inspect the implementation of a number of allocated national land targets, and at the same time grasp the actual needs of localities. Accordingly, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has developed a plan to adjust the land use targets until 2025 allocated by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 326/QD-TTg. For our province, through reviewing the recommendations of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to consider and supplement the "land target of Ninh Thuan Economic Zone with a scale of 43,900 hectares" to the draft decision of the Prime Minister.

Comrade Phan Tan Canh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended the conference at the bridge point of our province.

Discussing at the conference, representatives of ministries, branches and localities analyzed the adjusted indicators that have been implemented on the basis of reviewing and evaluating the current status of land use, especially for industrial land, rice land... At the same time, they proposed plans to adjust the indicators in accordance with the actual needs of the locality to avoid wasting land.

Concluding the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasized that the adjustment of targets must put national interests first. At the same time, he requested the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and localities to adjust land use plans to ensure scientific, economical and effective land use, ensuring a balance between land use needs of sectors, fields and localities; in accordance with land use norms; ensuring national food security, forest coverage rate; protecting the ecological environment, and sustainable development. The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and localities to adjust land use plans based on implementation results and land conversion trends; Large-scale key projects and works with investment policies, concentrated in dynamic regions, national growth poles, economic corridors... according to the orientation of socio-economic spatial development according to the National Master Plan for the period 2021-2030, vision to 2050. Regarding forestry land targets, only consider provinces proposing adjustments with sufficient basis and grounds to implement projects and works for national, public, defense and security interests; allow conversion of functions between forest types, adjust implementation progress between stages through the planning period.
