As part of the activities of the Spring Meeting 2025 program and the 16th Joint Working Committee Conference held in Quang Ninh, on February 21, in Ha Long City, a seminar on Tourism Development Cooperation took place between the Department of Tourism of Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam and Chongzuo City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.
At the seminar, representatives of the Quang Ninh Department of Tourism introduced the potential and advantages of tourism development in Quang Ninh with rich tourism resources, beautiful nature, and rich culture. Quang Ninh province and Chongzuo city have many similarities, especially the fact that they both own world heritage sites. Sharing experiences in preserving and promoting heritage values, researching the connection of the Ha Long Bay heritage tourism route in Quang Ninh and the Hoa Son rock murals in Chongzuo city will create advantages for tourism development in the two localities.
Quang Ninh province also wishes to strengthen cooperation in communication, tourism development promotion, business connection in product development, and exploitation of the two-way tourist market. Promoting the advantages of the Hoanh Mo (Vietnam) - Dong Trung (China) border gate pair including the announced Bac Phong Sinh (Vietnam) - Ly Hoa (China) customs clearance, the two sides will strengthen cooperation between border localities, promote import and export activities of goods, entry and exit, exploit the flow of tourists through the border gate; strive to exploit 500,000 two-way tourists by 2025.
Representatives of Chongzuo City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China highly appreciated the tourism potential, as well as the synchronous transport infrastructure of Quang Ninh. This will be the driving force for tourism development between the two localities. On the occasion of the Spring Meeting 2025 and the 16th Joint Working Committee Conference held in Quang Ninh this time, Chongzuo City hopes to work with Quang Ninh Province to research new cross-border tourism products, develop smart tourism, apply technology and artificial intelligence in the tourism sector to attract and better serve the needs of tourists; have preferential policies, create a healthy tourism environment, attract businesses to invest in the tourism sector; jointly organize people-to-people exchange activities such as: Chongzuo - Quang Ninh Cultural Month, cultural, sports, trade exchange activities, and introduce traditional cultures of both sides.
The working program aims to concretize the agreements and cooperation documents between the leaders of Quang Ninh province and the leaders of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China on further strengthening exchanges and cooperation in many fields, including border tourism development.
