According to the report of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of Quoc Oai district, in recent days, widespread rain has occurred, causing the water level of the Tich and Day rivers to rise. As of the morning of September 11, the water level of the Tich River at Vinh Phuc Station (Quoc Oai) was 8.54m, 0.5m above alert level 3.

Heavy rain and rising river water have caused flooding in many riverside communes. Specifically, the district currently has 6 flooded communes including Can Huu, Phu Cat, Liep Tuyet, Tuyet Nghia, Dong Yen, Ngoc Liep with 555 households and 2,471 people. Of these, 144 households and 513 people are deeply flooded.

To ensure the safety of people in flooded areas, from the day and night of September 10, localities have propagated and mobilized 129 households with 429 people to move to safe places.

Ben Voi hamlet area (Can Ha village, Can Huu commune) has now turned into an oasis due to floods.

This morning, the authorities of Can Huu and Phu Cat communes continued to organize the evacuation of all residents of Ben Voi Hamlet and Phu Cao Hamlet to safety.

The Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of Quoc Oai district requested the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of communes and towns to focus on directing and regularly monitoring the developments of floods and rains. At the same time, deploy forces to inspect and review residential areas along rivers, streams, and areas at high risk of flooding, flash floods, and landslides to organize the evacuation of people when situations arise.

For communes with dike incidents such as Can Huu, Tuyet Nghia, Phu Cat, Sai Son, Dong Quang, Tan Hoa... prepare human resources, materials, and means to protect the dikes, promptly handle dike incidents from the first hour.
