Hanoi bus stations have just planned to increase passenger vehicles to meet the increasing travel demand of people during the peak period of the Lunar New Year 2025.


Hanoi Bus Station Joint Stock Company has just developed a plan to serve people traveling during the peak period of Lunar New Year and the Spring Festival season of At Ty in 2025.

Specifically, at Giap Bat Bus Station, the highest number of passengers during peak days is about 20,000/day, an increase of 350% compared to normal days. The number of buses is expected to be from 850 - 900/day. The increase in passengers is mainly concentrated on routes to Nam Dinh, Thai Binh , Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa...

At Gia Lam Bus Station, the highest number of passengers during peak days is about 5,000 passengers/day, an increase of about 250% compared to normal days, the expected number of buses is 400 buses/day, mainly concentrated on routes such as Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Bac Giang ...

My Dinh bus station has a number of passengers on peak days of about 22,000/day, an increase of more than 350% compared to normal days, with an expected number of more than 950 buses/day, mainly on routes to Hoa Binh, Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Dien Bien, Son La, Lai Chau, Quang Ninh, Cao Bang...

During the time before Tet, the number of passengers is concentrated mainly on short routes. After the Tet holiday, the number of passengers increases on long routes such as: Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Gia Lai, Buon Ma Thuot... concentrated at Giap Bat Bus Station.

It is known that Hanoi Bus Station Joint Stock Company has requested the Hanoi Department of Transport to issue 300 additional vehicle badges; allowing vehicles with the department's additional vehicle badges to travel within the city to reach bus stations in time to relieve passengers during the Lunar New Year.

Mr. Pham Manh Hung, Director of Hanoi Bus Station Joint Stock Company, commented: Passenger travel demand during the Lunar New Year holiday will be evenly distributed, with higher concentration on January 20-22 and January 24-27, 2025.
