On the afternoon of June 25, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Son district to survey the development of tourism products on Tra Bong river.
According to the People's Committee of Binh Son district, the locality currently has the potential to develop tourism on the Tra Bong River from My Thien pottery village (Chau O) to the saltwater dam in Binh Duong commune and contents related to poet Te Hanh.
Tra Bong River flows through Chau O town, Binh Son district on National Highway 1A with a long bridge named after the river. Dong Yen village, Binh Duong commune is the hometown of poet Te Hanh, about 3km east of Chau O town.
Tourists visit My Thien pottery village, Chau O town"Arriving in Chau O town, visitors come to My Thien pottery village, visit and experience making pottery, then walk about 500m to the ancient house of Mr. Lam Du Xenh - here displays and preserves more than 10 thousand antiques from Dong Son culture, Sa Huynh culture, Cham Pa culture and Chinese culture.
From My Thien pottery village (Chau O) to the saltwater dam in Binh Duong commune, visitors can travel by road or waterway. Visitors can enjoy the scenery, experience, and recite the poem Remembering the homeland river by poet Te Hanh on the poetic Tra Bong river. At the same time, enjoy traditional local dishes such as: banh beo, banh xeo, don, and enjoy fresh seafood culinary services at restaurants and eateries along the Tra Bong river from the embankment of Chau O town to the embankment area of Binh Duong commune.

Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Binh Son district, Pham Thanh Luong, said that the locality is promoting investment calling to develop the district's tourism infrastructure. This includes planning and calling for investment to develop the Tra Bong riverside eco-tourism area, from Chau O town to Binh Duong commune, taking advantage of its location in the center of the district and its location along the Tra Bong river, a favorable location for developing trade and services, especially riverside and underwater services, to develop local trade and services.
Participating in the survey, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Dieu, representative of Dong Noi Phu Quoc Company, shared that the Tra Bong River has many values for tourism development. The locality needs to prioritize investment and construction of some tourist spots to create highlights and then spread to other spots.
