Party Congresses at all levels throughout Petrovietnam arouse the aspiration to help the Group grow together with the country, creating new momentum and new energy for all cadres, party members and workers.
Petrovietnam's Party Congresses at all levels were held from the beginning of the year to mid-June 2025. The entire Party Committee of the Group has 943 Party organizations at all levels; including: 113 grassroots Party Committees, 39 grassroots Party cells, 14 departmental Party Committees and 777 affiliated Party cells (of which, there are 4 Party cells and 68 Party members abroad) with a total of 13,862 Party members.
Party Congresses at all levels throughout Petrovietnam have aroused the aspiration to help the Group grow together with the country, creating new momentum and new energy for all cadres, party members and workers.
At the peak of the congresses, on April 9, 2025, the Prime Minister issued a decision to change the Group's name from "Vietnam Oil and Gas Group" to "Vietnam National Industry and Energy Group". This name change has demonstrated the growth of Petrovietnam, and at the same time demonstrated the absolute trust of the Party and Government in Petrovietnam when assigning the Group a new task and responsibility to be a pioneer in ensuring national energy security. At the same time, this is also a new source of pride for Petrovietnam officials, party members and employees.
The Kinh Ngu Trang-Kinh Ngu Trang Nam Field Development Project is a symbol of the aspiration to go offshore, of the persistent, creative and courageous working spirit of Petrovietnam workers.
After 50 years of establishment and development, Petrovietnam has become the leading enterprise in the country in the energy sector; has completed synchronization, from searching, exploring, exploiting, distributing, transporting, processing, storing, import and export business... At the same time, entering a new development stage, becoming the Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group with the orientation to 2030, vision 2050 shifting 5 main fields into 3 development pillars (energy, industry and high-tech services) in accordance with the requirements of energy transition and sustainable development strategy.
In the past 5 years, Petrovietnam has successfully completed 12/12 targets set by the Resolution of the Congress for the 2020-2025 term. Of which, many targets were completed 1-2 years ahead of schedule, many targets set records and broke their own records. Of which, the Group's profit exceeded 38%, the state budget contribution exceeded 46% compared to the beginning of the term; the revenue scale in 2025 increased by 87% compared to 2020 and for the first time in the Group's history, the revenue in 2024 set a record of more than 1.2 million billion VND.
In particular, the Group has focused on overcoming and effectively handling difficulties, new tasks, weak projects/factories, and putting into operation new works and projects such as: Putting into operation Song Hau 1 and Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plants...; starting the Block B-O Mon project chain; putting into operation Sao Vang-Dai Nguyet mine cluster; inaugurating Thi Vai 1 million ton LNG port warehouse... Along with that is the internal political review work to best prepare for party congresses at all levels.
The entire Group has organized the installation of signs to welcome the Party Congress with 9 typical works and products to welcome the 4th Party Congress of the Group and the 1st Government Party Congress (term 2025-2030), and the 14th National Congress of the Party.
Petrovietnam workers compete to achieve results to welcome Party Congresses at all levels on key projects.
The mark in the last term received special attention and focus from the Party and State when for the first time the Group produced and proactively supplied special fuel for national defense; ensuring sovereignty and security at sea.
During the past term, the Group has faced many difficulties and challenges due to the prolonged pandemic and complicated natural disasters and floods. However, the Group has actively implemented social security programs with a total budget of VND 3,569 billion; supported and built 10,262 Great Solidarity houses (exceeding the emulation target of building 4,000 oil and gas solidarity houses) to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels throughout the Group.
The successful imprints in the past term have contributed to affirming the Party's leadership role in all aspects of the Group's activities. The connection between Party work and business life has clearly demonstrated the synchronization and created a solid foundation for the Group's development.
In particular, at this Petrovietnam Party Congress at all levels, the resolutions were all scientific and close to reality, demonstrating the aspirations and determination of the Party committees at all levels, of the cadres, party members and employees of Petrovietnam on the eve of the 4th Congress of the Group's Party Committee. This is the greatest result of the Petrovietnam Party Congress at all levels in recent times./.
