The volume of implementation of the internal port traffic and technical infrastructure package reached nearly 2.4 trillion VND.

According to Vietnam Airports Corporation, currently, the implemented volume of the package for the construction of the internal port traffic system and technical infrastructure (package 4.8) under Component Project 3, Long Thanh International Airport Construction Investment Project Phase 1 has reached nearly 2.4 trillion VND. Of which, the value of the implemented volume is nearly 1.8 trillion VND, the value of the precast component volume is about 400 billion VND and the value of the volume of equipment imported to the construction site is about 250 billion VND.

In addition, for the MEPF items (mechanical, electrical, water supply and drainage, fire prevention and fighting) of the package, up to now, the contractor consortium has deployed the order and production of the entire equipment system for installation for the package such as: electrical cabinets, transformers, pumps, lights, air conditioners, cameras, electric cables, pipes of all kinds... with a total production order value of about 2.6 trillion VND.

To implement package 4.8, the contractor consortium mobilized nearly 2,800 engineers, workers and 576 machines and equipment of various types with 86 construction teams to simultaneously implement the construction of all items of the package.

Package 4.8 has a contract value of more than 11 trillion VND, and will start construction in November 2024. According to the signed contract, this package will be completed in September 2026. However, to ensure synchronous completion with the entire project, the contractor consortium is working hard to shorten the completion time of this package.
