On March 6, the Hanoi City Police Department of Security Investigation announced that it had initiated a case and prosecuted Ho Quoc Than (33 years old, residing in Nghe An province, General Director of Trieu Nu Cuoi Joint Stock Company) to investigate the crime of fraud and possession of counterfeit money.
At the same time, the Security Investigation Agency prosecuted another defendant for possessing counterfeit money.
During the investigation, the Economic Security Department of Hanoi City Police discovered that the general director of Trieu Nu Cuoi Joint Stock Company committed fraud by providing false information about the QFS TNCVN currency.
At the same time, Than also called on investors to "support" the amount of 3.4 - 6 million VND/QFS for individuals and from 39 - 52 million VND/QFS for businesses.
However, in reality, the investor's money was paid for Ho Quoc Than's debts and business operating costs, but the agreement to pay individuals or provide capital support for the business was not implemented.
In addition, to create trust for the people, Ho Quoc Than built the image of "a social security corporation, for the benefit of the people" by establishing 27 social stores selling food in many provinces and cities.
The company issues "Social Security Cards" with a prepayment of 2.6 million VND, promising that within one year customers can come and buy preferential and free products with an amount of 500,000 VND/week.
The card is not geographically limited and is valid for 30 days from the date of purchase. The purchase amount is transferred to the company's bank account.
To date, the company has issued nearly 20,000 cards.
To be able to sell more cards, Than also organizes many livestreams on social networking platforms such as Facebook, Youtube and has online meetings on Zoom with the participation of many people from provinces and cities.
In it, Than uses Buddhist language to introduce, mentions the story of welfare and kindness to spread information about the company's activities to the community.
Ho Quoc Than confessed to issuing a total of 5,000 QFS TNCVN coins, of which about 4,000 were owned by individuals or businesses...
