Timely rescue of drowning child in Son Vi

At around 4:30 p.m. on July 19, Mr. Le Manh Cuong, a teacher at Thuong Phung Primary School, Son Vi Commune, bravely saved a child who was drowning at Treo Lake in the commune.

According to Mr. Cuong, on his way to his relative's house in the commune, when he passed Treo Lake, he heard the cries of some children. Without thinking much, he immediately jumped into the water about 3 meters from the shore, dived to find and rescued a child.

The victim was Giang Mi Tua, about 8 years old, living in Sa Nhe Lu village, Son Vi commune. Because he did not know how to swim and was bathing in deep water, he drowned. Immediately after rescuing Tua, Mr. Cuong took the initiative to provide first aid and brought him home safely.

Mr. Le Manh Cuong's action of saving a drowning person is commendable. Through the above incident, families with young children should pay attention when children bathe in rivers, streams, and lakes, they must have adult supervision to avoid unfortunate accidents.
