Vietnam Kurash won 3 gold medals at the 2025 Asian Championship

On the evening of August 4, the Vietnamese Kurash team concluded the final day of competition at the 2025 Asian Kurash Championship held in Korea. With a total of 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 3 bronze medals, the Vietnamese Kurash team ranked 2nd overall. This is a very encouraging achievement, recognizing the efforts of the Vietnamese Kurash team.

Notably, on the final day of competition, athlete Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc participated in the final of the women's 57kg category but lost to opponent Fotima Kodirova (Uzbekistan) and received a silver medal. Athletes Nguyen Thi Ngoc Nhung (women's 63kg) and To Thi Trang (women's 48kg) won bronze medals in their categories.

Vietnam Kurash team excellently won 2nd place overall at the Asian tournament.

Notably, earlier in the championship competition, athlete Tran Thi Thanh Thuy was the only athlete to win a gold medal for the Vietnamese Kurash team after convincingly winning the final of the women's 87kg weight class.

At this tournament, the Vietnamese Kurash team competed in the youth and championship categories.

At the end of the tournament, on the medal table, the number 1 position was held by the Uzbekistan team with 45 gold medals, 5 silver medals, and 3 bronze medals. The superiority of the Uzbekistan boxers was demonstrated in the youth group matches of the tournament. Behind Uzbekistan and Vietnam were the teams of India, Tajikistan, and Korea. In the Southeast Asian region at this tournament, in addition to Vietnam, the Malaysian team won 1 silver medal, the Philippines won 3 bronze medals, and Indonesia won 3 bronze medals.
