Vu Dinh Trong Thang (band Ngọt, Thắng Ngọt) has just shared the latest information above after the announcement of the cessation of the band Ngọt's activities.
On March 19, the band Ngọt announced that it would stop performing after more than 10 years of activity.
On March 22, the band continued to announce the cancellation of previously planned shows, including two events , Dreamy Cities Summer Tour 2024 and CAM Gala "I" 2024, confusing the organizers and disappointing many audiences, who posted tickets for sale on groups and even under the band Ngọt's post.
As the composer and lead singer, Vu Dinh Trong Thang is considered the "soul" of the band Ngọt.
On March 28, on his personal Facebook page, Thang wrote:
"I also want to perform the shows I promised, but my mental health is really not good. I will perform for everyone after I recover.
In the meantime, everyone can perform any song they write. Even for commercial purposes. No need to share, no need to ask for permission. Support as you wish."
Thang added that he will perform again but not as Ngọt.

The band Ngọt was founded in 2013 by three members Vu Dinh Trong Thang, Nguyen Hung Nam Anh and Tran Binh Tuan. At first, Ngọt mainly operated underground, playing music in coffee shops in Hanoi .
In 2015, the band had a new member, Phan Viet Hoang, who had just returned from studying abroad.
From here, the band Ngọt began to "sprout" among young people through a series of songs Quan diem, Em dao nay , Cho toi di theo, Khong lam gi ...

In 2016, Binh Tuan left the band to study abroad, and Nguyen Chi Hung joined. By the end of 2021, Chi Hung also left the band to focus on his own projects.
After that, the band welcomed a new member, Hoang Chi Trung, who plays keyboard.
In more than 10 years of operation, Ngọt has released four quality studio albums: Ngọt, Ng`bthg, 3, Gieo along with notable singles and EPs,
At the same time, Ngọt also organizes the live show Ng`bthg in 2017 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
At the 13th Dedication Music Awards in 2018, Ngọt won both nominations for New Artist of the Year and Song of the Year (for the song Em Dao Nay ).
In 2023, Vu Dinh Trong Thang released his first solo album called The First .
EP Almost 1 is the last product the band released before breaking up on March 19.
As one of two typical indie bands in Vietnam, Ngọt's farewell attracted great attention from music lovers.
Up to now, the band has not officially announced the reason for stopping activities.
