The 15th Oil and Gas Culture Week in 2024, taking place from August 23, includes a series of cultural and sports activities, support activities, visits to workers, and social security activities to show the affection of Oil and Gas people.
The Oil and Gas Culture Week (VHDK) organized by the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group ( Petrovietnam ) is a cultural event held annually on the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (September 3, 1975), carrying the unique traditions and identity of Petrovietnam .
At the opening ceremony of the VHDK Week, Mr. Le Manh Hung, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Members of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group acknowledged and highly appreciated the organization of the 15th VHDK Week taking place at a meaningful time for the country in general and Petrovietnam in particular. Mr. Le Manh Hung emphasized: In the past time, together with other political organizations, the Group and the Petrovietnam Trade Union have organized many activities and events, bringing the Petrovietnam Cultural values to works, factories and projects. The team of Oil and Gas workers, with their responsibility, has spread the "charity" value of Petrovietnam Culture to the community through social security activities across the country.

In the coming time, Chairman of the Board of Members of Petrovietnam Le Manh Hung hopes that the collective leadership, officers and employees of the entire Group will continue to spread and deeply imbue culture into practice. At the same time, continue to spread Petrovietnam Culture, join hands with other businesses and economic sectors to contribute to overcoming difficulties, ensuring stable socio-economic development, for the strong development of the country.
VHDK Week includes a series of cultural and sports activities, support activities, visits to workers, and social security activities to show the affection of the Oil and Gas people. This year, activities responding to VHDK Week in the whole industry include: high-level propaganda activities, seminars, thematic activities "One team, one goal" and the Petrovietnam Cultural Regeneration Project; organizing visits, support, and gift-giving to Oil and Gas workers in difficult circumstances, expressing gratitude to generations of cadres who have contributed to the development of the industry; organizing regional Oil and Gas Sports Festivals; awarding prizes to Trade Unions under the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union for their outstanding achievements in building grassroots cultural life.
Also at the Opening Ceremony, Petrovietnam announced and awarded the "Petrovietnam Pride" clip creation contest. After 1 month, the Organizing Committee received 131 entries with creative and highly artistic films and images, reflecting realistically and vividly many aspects of the activities and lives of Oil and Gas workers. The contest has truly become a useful and practical "playground" for "Oil and Gas directors and filmmakers" to express their ideas, creativity and creative talent in designing videos and clips. At the same time, through the videos and clips, the cultural values, beauty in work, study, production, the sense of responsibility of Oil and Gas officers, employees and workers, and Petrovietnam's contributions to the socio-economic development of the country.

From the entries, based on the rules and criteria of the Contest, after two rounds of judging, the Jury selected 16 best video works. The first prize of the contest went to the work "Overall maintenance of Dung Quat Oil Refinery 5 - "One team - One goal" by a group of authors from Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company. The Organizing Committee also selected and awarded 11 prizes to groups with many entries, 4 prizes to works that received many votes and interactions per week. The success of this Contest promises to attract many units and authors to reflect more clear and vivid "perspectives" on the Oil and Gas industry in the following Contests, continuing to inspire and motivate Oil and Gas workers to work enthusiastically and contribute, as well as bring the image and cultural values of Petrovietnam to the community and society.
In an enthusiastic, exciting, and vibrant atmosphere, demonstrating the spirit of "Oil and Gas People", on August 24-25, the 2024 Northern Oil and Gas Industry Sports Festival took place at Cau Giay Stadium (Hanoi), with 6 competitions: tug of war, badminton, table tennis, tennis, swimming, sack jumping and friendly football matches.
