Comrade Nguyen Duc Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the meeting and worked with the delegation. On the occasion of preparing to welcome the Lunar New Year of the Snake, on behalf of the Vietnam Coast Guard Command, Major General Le Dinh Cuong wished the Party Committee, government, army and people of Quang Nam a happy and peaceful new spring, and many successes in 2025.
Major General Le Dinh Cuong - Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Vietnam Coast Guard said that in 2024, the Coast Guard force had excellently completed its assigned tasks. The Vietnam Coast Guard and 3 units were awarded the Emulation Flag of the Ministry of National Defense , and 1 unit was awarded the Emulation Flag of the Prime Minister.
In Quang Nam, the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 regularly coordinates with the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, departments, branches, and localities in mass mobilization, propaganda, and prevention of IUU fishing, helping people develop the economy, protect sovereignty over seas and islands, and participate in search and rescue....
Major General Le Dinh Cuong hopes that Quang Nam province will continue to create favorable conditions and support the coast guard force to successfully complete its assigned tasks.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Dung congratulated the achievements of the Vietnam Coast Guard in the past year, and informed about some outstanding results of Quang Nam in 2024. Thereby emphasizing that, among those achievements, the Coast Guard has made positive contributions to law enforcement at sea, being a support for fishermen to go offshore, maintain sovereignty, and actively participate in search and rescue work.

In 2024, the Coast Guard Region 2 Command organized the rescue of 12 fishermen on fishing boat QNa-91180 TS while fishing 44 nautical miles northeast of Ly Son island; successfully organized the rescue of 8 crew members of An Binh Phat 68 boat, registration number HN-2333, which sank 13 nautical miles from Cu Lao Cham island.
In addition, 15 times were organized for 2,600 people including cadres, teachers of schools, youth union members, and veterans' associations in Quang Nam to visit the real life and work activities of cadres and soldiers of the unit and on Coast Guard ships.
