Ho Chi Minh City leaders offer flowers and incense to President Ho Chi Minh

On the morning of August 7, a delegation of the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City led by comrade Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the 15th tenure of Ho Chi Minh City, offered flowers and incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang.

Joining the delegation were comrades: Nguyen Thien Nhan, former member of the Politburo , former Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Nguyen Thanh Nghi, member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Vu Hai Quan, member of the Party Central Committee, Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University; and members of the 15th National Assembly of Ho Chi Minh City.

The delegation offered flowers and incense as part of a series of activities to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026) and to summarize the activities of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Ho Chi Minh City, term 2021-2026.

At the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City Branch, the delegation observed a minute of silence, respectfully offered flowers and incense to the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh - National Liberation Hero - Genius Leader of the Party and People - Outstanding Cultural Man of the Country.

He devoted his whole life to the cause of national liberation and class liberation; a shining example of revolutionary heroism, fighting spirit of solidarity, revolutionary ethics; diligence - thrift - integrity - uprightness, impartiality; pure international spirit.

The delegation expressed their infinite gratitude and sincere respect for President Ho Chi Minh's great contributions to the cause of national liberation, national reunification, and building a peaceful, independent, unified, increasingly prosperous and developed socialist Vietnam.

At Ton Duc Thang Museum, the delegation offered incense and flowers to President Ton Duc Thang - the leader of the working class, a shining example of diligence, thrift, integrity, and wholehearted service to the revolution and the people.

President Ton Duc Thang left the Vietnamese people an extremely valuable legacy of ideology, ethics and style of a revolutionary soldier.

President Ton Duc Thang is a symbol of the cause of great solidarity among compatriots, comrades, brothers and international friends. From the life of a worker, then in prison to holding important positions in the Party and State, Uncle Ton always devoted all his affection to his compatriots and comrades, willing to share difficulties with everyone.

After that, the delegation offered flowers and observed a minute of silence to commemorate the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park (Nguyen Hue Street, Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

On the same day, the Organizing Committee of Major Holidays in Ho Chi Minh City organized an exhibition to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly and summarize the activities of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Ho Chi Minh City, term 2021-2026. The exhibition took place in the pedestrian area of Nguyen Hue Street and Dong Khoi Street (Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
