On the morning of January 14, comrade Le Duc Giang, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended the ceremony to announce Muong Chanh commune meeting new rural standards.
Muong Chanh is the first commune of Muong Lat district to reach the new rural finish line, contributing to "erasing" new rural communes in the district and Thanh Hoa province no longer has a district with "blank" new rural communes.
Muong Chanh commune leaders reported on the implementation of the National Target Program on new rural construction.
When implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, Muong Chanh is one of the particularly disadvantaged communes of Muong Lat district. Infrastructure is still lacking and weak, average income per capita in 2013 was only 13.2 million VND, the poverty rate was over 85%. With the high determination of the Party Committee, government and people of Muong Chanh commune, and receiving attention and support from all levels and sectors from the Central, province and district, the total resources for new rural construction of Muong Chanh commune in the period of 2013-2024 reached more than 331 billion VND.
The socio -economic development, national defense - security and social order of the commune have changed strongly and comprehensively in a positive direction. The rural economy has shifted in the right direction to increase added value and sustainable development. The material and spiritual life of the people has improved a lot. The average income per capita in 2024 reached more than 46.4 million VND, the multidimensional poverty rate decreased to 11.73%, of which the poverty rate was 5.31%.

Cultural and sports activities have been effectively maintained, attracting many participants. The commune has been recognized by the District People's Committee as a "Commune meeting new rural cultural standards"; the whole commune has 9/9 villages recognized as "Cultural Village". The political security situation, social order and safety have always been maintained and stabilized.
Muong Chanh has been recognized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee as a commune meeting new rural standards in 2024, aiming to become a "model commune in terms of economy, society, and culture" as directed by the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong during his visit to Muong Chanh commune in September 2011.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Giang presented the Decision recognizing Muong Chanh commune as meeting new rural standards to the leaders of Muong Chanh commune.
At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Giang presented the Decision recognizing Muong Chanh commune as meeting new rural standards along with a bonus of 500 million VND from the Provincial People's Committee to the Party Committee, government and people of Muong Chanh commune.
