In the second match taking place today, July 2, the Vietnamese women's team will face the UAE women's team, while the Maldives will face Guam.
With the difference in class between the two teams, experts predict that it will not be difficult for the Vietnamese women's team to win against the UAE. The Vietnamese women's team may even soon take the top spot in Group E (and advance to the next round) if the match between Maldives and Guam ends in a draw.
The 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup qualifiers will feature 34 teams , divided into eight groups, two groups of five and six groups of four. The eight group winners will qualify for the 2026 Asian Cup finals.
