Handico and Viglacera joint venture is about to start construction of a social housing project in Dong Anh, Hanoi.

At CT3 project, there will be 1,104 apartments, providing accommodation for nearly 3,900 people.

According to information from the Project Management Board, the People's Committee of Dong Anh District is speeding up the progress of site clearance in December 2024. It is expected that in January 2025, the Hanoi People's Committee will issue a decision to allocate land for the Joint Venture of Handico and Viglacera to carry out the steps to start the Project.

According to the approved planning, land plot CT3 will build 03 high-rise apartment buildings with symbols CT3A, CT3B, CT3C; each building is 12 floors + 1 attic, with elevator. The total construction floor area is about 109,410.2m2.

Construction of CT3 project under the social housing construction investment project at plots CT3, CT4 - Kim Chung New Urban Area, Dong Anh district has started, providing a new housing fund with 1,104 apartments in 2025, providing accommodation for nearly 3,900 people who are beneficiaries of social housing in Hanoi.

With the CT4 land plot, the Investor Consortium has completed the construction investment and put it into use from the fourth quarter of 2021, the scale includes: 12-storey apartment building + 1 attic, total construction floor area of about 44,368.7m2, with a total of 484 apartments meeting the housing needs of 1,527 people.

Thus, the Social Housing Project at plots CT3 and CT4 in Kim Chung New Urban Area is being urgently implemented by the Joint Venture and will soon be completed, providing the market with a total of 1,588 social housing apartments in 2026 in accordance with the direction of the Hanoi City Leaders, contributing to the Program of developing one million social housing units directed by the Prime Minister .

With the Project at land plot CT5, the Joint Investor is actively coordinating with the People's Committee of Dong Anh district to remove difficulties and obstacles in compensation and site clearance as well as arranging resettlement land for people.

This consortium is also studying a report for the City to allow the adjustment from a worker housing project to social housing, to further expand the subjects accessing this type of policy housing, suitable to the affordability of the majority of people.
