Da Nang On the afternoon of September 1, the tournament belonging to the Asian Development Tour professional golf system finished round 2 with Deyen Lawson holding the top spot (-10) and eight players following within seven strokes.

Today, Lawson recorded six birdies and was the only player without bogeys. Thanks to that form, the Australian golfer went from -4 after round 1 to -10 at the end of round 2 and led by two strokes over T2, including Justin Quiban (Philippines) and Naoki Sekito (Japan). Behind T2 were six players in the -7 to -3 segment.

In terms of round 2 scores, Lawson and Quiban had the deepest negative (-6). Thanks to that, both of them jointly owned the top 18-hole achievement at the BRG Open Golf Championship 2023, on the par72 course designed by golf legend Jack Nicklaus, at BRG Danang Golf Resort. This tournament had 23 Vietnamese golfers, of which only three players passed the cut, including Nguyen Anh Minh at T23 (even par), Doan Van Dinh and Nguyen Nhat Long at T45 (+2).

The tournament is recording a two-round lead over the first period's final mark, when Chen Guxin and Lloyd Jefferson Go both finished -8 and then fought over an extra hole with Guxin winning.

BRG Open Golf Championship has been an official competition on the Asian Development Tour since its launch and will accompany the Da Nang Golf Tourism Festival opening in 2022.

This year's tournament brings together 144 golfers, competing for a prize fund of 100,000 USD in individual stroke play over three rounds.

On September 2, the champion will be revealed and receive a prize of 17,500 USD and a cup made from Chu Dau ceramic ( Hai Duong ) with a history of formation and development of 600 years.

The Asian Development Tour's management unit identified the BRG Open Golf Championship as a long-term project in Da Nang.

The Asian Development Tour has been operating since 2010, as a stepping stone to the top-tier Asian Tour, similar to the Korn Ferry Tour of the US PGA Tour or the Challenge Tour of the European DP World Tour. Since 2013, ADT tournaments have been scored on the World Professional Ranking (OWGR). The history of this tournament so far has recorded only Tran Le Duy Nhat as a Vietnamese champion, at the Ciputra Golfpreneur Tournament 2015.
