Information from the professional sector of Loc Ha district ( Ha Tinh ) said that lumpy skin disease has just appeared in cows at a household in Phu Luu commune.

Authorities took samples for testing on Mr. HVH's cow.

On February 26, upon receiving information that a cow belonging to Mr. HVH (in My Hoa village) in Phu Luu commune had symptoms of lumps, lethargy, and high fever, the professional department of Loc Ha district coordinated with the Phu Luu commune authorities to directly inspect and take samples for testing to find the cause of the disease.

According to the test results of the Veterinary Department of Region III, Mr. HVH's cows were infected with the virus that causes lumpy skin disease.

Immediately after the test results were available, the professional sector of Loc Ha district issued an official dispatch directing the focus on urgent solutions to prevent and control lumpy skin disease to protect cattle and buffalo. Phu Luu commune also carried out disinfection with lime powder and chemicals, and set up 2 warning posts in the area.
