TPO – As of the afternoon of October 11, the water level measured in Vinh Hung district was 2.33m, 23cm higher than the same period and 8cm higher than the flood peak in 2023; in Tan Hung district it was 2.46m, 36cm higher than the same period and 18cm higher than the flood peak in 2023.
Due to the impact of local rain combined with floods from upstream, in recent days, flood levels in the upstream districts of Long An province have increased rapidly, recorded on October 11 higher than the flood peak in 2023.
The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue of Long An province forecasts that in the coming days, flood water levels will continue to rise; on rainy days, water levels may rise faster.
