On the morning of August 3, about 1,000 officers and soldiers from various forces participating in the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2 respectfully held an incense offering ceremony and visited the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace - a place that preserves memories that live forever with time about the Father of the nation.
This is a meaningful activity towards the solemn celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
The Presidential Palace Relic Site is the place where President Ho Chi Minh spent the longest time during his revolutionary career, the last 15 years of his life (1954-1969). The Presidential Palace Relic Site has become a sacred “red” address, illuminating and educating the nation’s traditions and ideals for the youth.
During 15 years of living and working at the Presidential Palace, Uncle Ho, together with the Party Central Committee and the Government, steered the Vietnamese revolutionary boat through countless storms, simultaneously carrying out two strategic tasks: building a socialist North and fighting to liberate the South and unify the country.
The relic sites: Stilt House, House 54, House 67, fish pond, garden and many valuable artifacts have become priceless cultural heritages of the nation. This place gathers and spreads the love and affection of the Vietnamese people and international friends for President Ho Chi Minh. The August Revolution of 1945 was a brilliant milestone in the history of the Vietnamese nation, marking the collapse of the colonial and feudal regimes and opening an era of independence and freedom.
On September 2, 1945, at the historic Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh solemnly read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam - the first worker-peasant state in Southeast Asia.
80 years have passed, but the spirit and will of the August Revolution and National Day September 2nd are still the sacred flame, illuminating the nation's path forward.
Until now, every Vietnamese person who visits Uncle Ho's residence and workplace feels like they have returned to his immense love, reliving in a simple yet noble space, then quietly reflecting on themselves and seeing the need to live better, contribute more to the Fatherland and the people, starting from the smallest things with all sincerity.
The activities of visiting and offering incense at the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site by the forces participating in this parade and march are not only an opportunity for the armed forces to express their love and respect for Uncle Ho, but also a valuable opportunity to educate revolutionary traditions, foster patriotism, and foster the ideal of serving the Fatherland for the cadres and soldiers who are day and night protecting independence, sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity and preserving the peaceful life of the people.
