According to Thai press, coach Masatada Ishii said before the match that he would limit players and staff from thanking fans after the match to speed up the recovery process.

The Thai team will have to prepare immediately for the next match against Singapore away on December 17. Therefore, the time for the players to recover, travel, and then play on the field is only 4 days.

Therefore, when Madam Pang insisted that the players walk around the field to applaud the fans, coach Masatada Ishii was not satisfied and left the field in a bad mood, according to Thairath Sport .

Newspapers in Thailand have expressed support for coach Masatada Ishii's decision, saying: "Any decision Mr. Ishii makes on the field, Ms. Pang must respect, even if she disagrees. After all, Ishii will be the one ultimately responsible for the match results. That is why we think Ms. Pang did wrong in this situation."

However, according to Thairath Sport , on December 15, Coach Masatada Ishii apologized to Madam Pang and Thai fans for his "inappropriate behavior" last night (December 14). Thereby, to reduce the unnecessary tension that occurred.

Meanwhile, another incident also occurred after the match between Thailand and Malaysia, when some information said that there was a fight between the two teams' overzealous fans. Among them, at least one Malaysian fan was injured.

Thai police acted quickly to intervene, separating the groups and keeping Malaysian fans inside the stadium until the Thai fans dispersed. For safety, buses were arranged to take Malaysian fans away from the scene, ASEAN FOOTBALL reported.
