MobiFone and Nokia 'join hands' to boost 5G development

MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation and Nokia Cloud and Network Service have just signed a cooperation agreement to deploy the Network as Code (NaC) platform with the aim of enhancing 5G development.

On the afternoon of October 29, in Hanoi, MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation and Nokia Cloud and Network Services signed a cooperation agreement to deploy the Network as Code (NaC) platform. According to the cooperation agreement, the two parties committed to promoting cooperation in deploying the NaC platform. With Nokia's cooperation, MobiFone will have the opportunity to develop its network into an innovative platform by providing advanced 5G network features to the global developer community through open application programming interfaces (APIs). With the goal of opening the 5G network to application developers, this approach will facilitate application developers to easily access API services, while promoting innovation, opening up new cooperation opportunities and expanding the market. This "handshake" is not only a big step forward in developing technology and exploiting 5G network resources, but also creates a seamless ecosystem connecting developers, system integrators and global networks, bringing new values to customers. MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation is one of the leading telecommunications service providers in Vietnam. MobiFone's strategy is to transform from a traditional network operator (Telco) to a digital technology enterprise (Techco), focusing on developing digital infrastructure and perfecting the ecosystem of 5G digital service solutions. MobiFone is strengthening cooperation with partners to expand the ecosystem. After gaining ownership of the C3 frequency block, MobiFone is focusing on implementing conditions to be ready for 5G commercialization such as: investing in broadcasting equipment, coverage; building programs, business scenarios, perfecting 5G services with the motto of taking customers as the center. It is expected that MobiFone customers will experience 5G services from November 2024. In the coming time, MobiFone will launch 5G products and services to meet customer needs, ensure stable and fast transmission quality, create safe 5G experiences, and help customers fully enjoy advanced technology. Nokia has played an important role in promoting 5G development, marking an important milestone in Vietnam's digital transformation journey.
