A locality gives students more than half a month off for Lunar New Year 2025

In the 2024-2025 school year plan, many localities plan to give students a break for the 2025 Lunar New Year. The Lunar New Year holiday schedule of provinces and cities this year is more flexible than last year.

Kon Tum is the province with the longest school break, starting from January 24 to February 7. Since February 7 is a Friday, students in this province will have two more days off on the weekend. Thus, Kon Tum students will have a 17-day Lunar New Year holiday in 2025.

Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City is the place where students have the least days off, only about 9 days, less than every year. The 2025 Lunar New Year holiday schedule for students in Ho Chi Minh City also coincides with the proposal of a 9-day holiday plan submitted by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to the Prime Minister.

Some other localities give students about 2 weeks off, the specific time depends on the weekend arrangements in each place.
