A man is suspected of jumping off Mong Sen bridge, leading to his death.

Mr. Chao Pet Lay, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Trung Chai Commune, Sa Pa Town confirmed that at around 2:38 p.m. on May 29, people reported discovering a male victim dead in the stream area at the foot of Mong Sen Bridge.

Through the observation of the authorities from the camera of Mong Sen Hydropower Plant, there is an image of a person falling from the bridge.

According to Mr. Lay, the victim who died from suspected bridge jumping is currently unidentified and has no identification papers.

Immediately after receiving the information, the authorities were present at the scene to investigate the cause of the incident.

The victim was in the stream area under Mong Sen bridge.

Mong Sen Bridge spans two mountain peaks, with pillars over 80 m high. The bridge has three main spans 132 m long, and was put into operation on September 22, 2023.
