According to Slovenian press sources, Sesko has reached a personal agreement with Newcastle United, after the English club made contact with the RB Leipzig striker. Delo , one of Slovenia's largest sports newspapers, confirmed that Sesko will move to the "Magpies" this month.
Although there are still some details to be finalised, Sesko is expected to sign a five-year contract with Newcastle. This is a surprising development, as many had expected Sesko to go to the Emirates or Old Trafford. However, with Newcastle willing to pay a large sum for the 22-year-old striker (80-90 million euros), the possibility of them parting ways with Isak is very high.
Newcastle United finished fifth in the Premier League last season with 66 points, qualifying for the Champions League. Sesko's arrival is expected to boost the Magpies' attack, especially as Alexander Isak is rebelling to leave.
Sesko, with 25 goals and 8 assists in the Bundesliga in the 2024/25 season, is one of the most sought-after young strikers in Europe at the moment. Previously, Manchester United were closely following the Leipzig striker.
