Thunderstorms cause houses to collapse and many trees to fall in Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone

According to the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of An Giang province, from 6:00 p.m. to 6:20 p.m. on July 20, there were very strong thunderstorms in Phu Quoc Special Zone; wind speed recorded at Phu Quoc Meteorological Station reached level 10, gusting to level 12.

Trees at Bach Dang Park were broken due to thunderstorms.

Thunderstorms and strong winds collapsed a house in Rach Tram neighborhood, causing an estimated property damage of 45 million VND. The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Phu Quoc Special Zone ( An Giang Province) promptly dispatched forces to assist in evacuating the above households to safe shelters.

Thunderstorms also broke many trees in areas and streets such as 30/4, Hung Vuong, Duong Dong bypass, Bach Dang park... The total estimated value of property damage is about 85 million VND.
