Previously, due to the impact of prolonged hot weather, there was almost no rain, causing the water level in reservoirs in Ha Tinh to dry up, continuously approaching the dead water level. Therefore, the heavy rain from September 24 helped the reservoirs in Ha Tinh to improve the water level in the lakes, contributing to ensuring production and people's lives.
According to statistics from hydrometeorological stations, the amount of rainfall measured from 0:00 on September 26 to 7:00 on September 27 at Ke Go Lake (Cam Xuyen) was 294.8 mm; Thuong Tuy Lake (Cam Xuyen) was 305.6 mm; Song Rac Lake (Cam Xuyen and Ky Anh) was 303.6 mm...
Nha Duong Lake (Can Loc) has been left with a dry bottom and now has improved water quality.
Thanks to that, these large reservoirs have been supplemented with a significant amount of water. For example, Ke Go Lake has been supplemented with about 20 million m3 of water (current water level is 19.5 m/32.5 m, capacity reaches 70 million m3 /345 million m3 ); Song Rac Lake has been supplemented with about 10 million m3 (current water level is 15.38 m/23.2 m, capacity reaches 33.17 million m3 /124.5 million m3 )...
For small reservoirs in the mountainous areas of Huong Khe district such as: Muc Bai Lake (Huong Thuy commune), Ma Leng Lake (Phuc Trach,) Lang Dam (Huong Thuy)... the water level after rain is improved from 2 - 3 million m3 /lake.
Ma Leng Lake (Phuc Trach Commune, Huong Khe) increased water volume significantly after heavy rain.
According to statistics from reservoir management units in Ha Tinh, the recent heavy rain has added 10-15% of water to reservoirs in the area. However, the capacity of the reservoirs has only reached 30-50% compared to the same period in 2022 and reached 20-40% compared to the design capacity of the reservoirs.
