"The deportation flights have begun. President Trump is sending a strong and clear message to the world : if you are in the United States illegally, you will face serious consequences," Leavitt wrote.

According to CNN, the use of military aircraft to repatriate immigrants is noteworthy. It is not clear when the flight in the photo took place or which countries the immigrants came from.

The first flights took off from Briggs Air Force Base in El Paso, Texas, on the evening of January 23. They included about 75 to 80 Guatemalans who had recently crossed the border into the United States and were detained by the Border Patrol, a Department of Homeland Security official said.

A senior US military official said on January 22 that four military aircraft, including two C-17s and two C-130s, were sent to San Diego (California) and El Paso to assist in the repatriation of illegal immigrants.

According to Air & Space Forces magazine, the planes will be used to deport 5,400 people currently in U.S. Customs and Border Protection custody. A senior military official predicted that more surveillance planes may be sent to the border to increase surveillance patrols.

In addition, Acting Defense Secretary Robert Salesses said 1,500 troops have been deployed to the US-Mexico border to control the situation. He predicted that up to 10,000 troops could be deployed.

After taking office, President Trump signed an executive order allowing law enforcement to enter sensitive locations such as churches, hospitals, and schools to arrest illegal immigrants. At the same time, he directed to expedite the deportation of people living in the US without legal documents.

Fox News reported that from January 21 to 9 a.m. on January 22, within 33 hours, authorities arrested more than 460 illegal immigrants, including those with criminal records.
