Policy communication plays an important role in the successful implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; it is an effective information channel for authorities to promptly listen to opinions and suggestions from all walks of life, especially those directly affected by policies.
However, policy communication in general and policy communication on multiculturalism in particular in Vietnam still have certain limitations and shortcomings. In particular, policy communication on multiculturalism in the context of international integration is a new issue, with many large research gaps in both theory and practice. Many policy communication subjects have not yet recognized the role and importance of cultural and ethnic issues; policy information reaching ethnic minorities, especially in remote and isolated areas, is still limited.

Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper Nguyen Cong Dung said that along with the process of international integration in all fields, cultural exchange and acculturation is an inevitable trend, requiring multicultural management to be focused on by countries.
Multiculturalism enlivens the national cultural life. State management policies need to promote the similarities and good common values of each culture, creating opportunities for dialogue between cultures but all aiming towards the values of truth - goodness - beauty...

Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Trung Y, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, highly appreciated the Academy of Journalism and Communication for focusing resources and closely coordinating with KOICA in recent years to effectively implement the project to improve policy implementation capacity. The project has organized research delegations in Korea; organized 9 international scientific conferences; published 7 conference proceedings to serve management, teaching and research.
“In the context of the country opening its doors to welcome foreign direct investment, Vietnamese enterprises are strong enough to expand into cross-border markets, people-to-people exchanges between countries and Vietnam become more frequent, multiculturalism in the working and living environment is gradually becoming more popular in Vietnamese society,” Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Trung Y emphasized....

In his closing remarks at the workshop, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Minh Son, Director of the Academy of Journalism and Communication, affirmed that the Workshop on Policy Communication on Multiculturalism in the Context of International Integration had initially clarified and systematized the concepts, purposes, characteristics and importance of policy communication on multiculturalism, while also learning about the experiences and models of policy communication on multiculturalism in Vietnam, Korea and other countries around the world, thereby providing recommendations, lessons learned and solutions to enhance the effectiveness of policy communication on multiculturalism in the current context of international integration.
