Improving the capacity of greenhouse gas and emission inventory for enterprises in industrial parks

(CT) - On June 20, the Management Board of Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones organized a scientific workshop on "Inventory of emissions and greenhouse gases in the industrial sector", with the participation of more than 60 delegates from city departments, branches and sectors and enterprises operating in industrial zones in Can Tho city.

Delegates visited and learned about models and solutions for inventorying emissions and greenhouse gases introduced at the workshop.

At the workshop, experts in the field of greenhouse gas and emission inventory disseminated policies and legal regulations on greenhouse gas emission reduction; at the same time, guided enterprises in making plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, roadmap for building and developing carbon markets in Vietnam; shared measures to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions; implemented decarbonization strategies, prevented energy waste... in production and business activities at enterprises. Thereby, helping enterprises in industrial parks update knowledge, improve capacity in the work of inventorying greenhouse gas and emission at the unit. At the same time, the workshop also created a forum, helping enterprises in industrial parks in the city to exchange and discuss with experts from units and enterprises with experience in the field of greenhouse gas and emission inventory on the implementation of measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the operation of enterprises, aiming at the goal of green economic growth, circulation and sustainable development.
