The audience is familiar with the image of Neko Le at work and rarely mentions his personal life. So the fact that he agreed to join Dad, Where Are We Going? 2025 with his two daughters Audi and Cati caused quite a surprise.

As an artist, Neko Le does not have much time for his family. Therefore, the journey with his two children on the show becomes a rare opportunity for him to listen and understand them more deeply.

"Happy Vitamin" by Neko Le

The audience was moved in episode 5 when little Cati - his youngest daughter - burst into tears, determined not to let her father wrestle because she was afraid he would get hurt. In the midst of the bustling festival atmosphere, the moment Cati trembled and held her father's hand tightly, her eyes were worried, her voice was soft "don't let dad wrestle" moved the audience. Neko Le then chose to stop playing, not because she gave up the challenge, but because her love for her child was deeper than any victory.

"The doctor said I lacked vitamin D because I worked indoors all the time... But when I participated in Where Are We Going, Dad?, I sunbathed from head to toe, from morning to afternoon," Neko Le humorously shared in episode 7 of the show, broadcast on the evening of June 30 on VTV3.

It seemed like just a joke, but behind the story of "lack of vitamin D" is an emotional journey of a father, a director, an urban man, when he and his child "left the city to return to the countryside" for the first time, living fully with the sun, wind and childhood experiences that are hard to come by again.

Neko Le confided: "Lack of time with children, lack of memories to grow up with children, no doctor can cure"

In episode 7, he revealed that he was once reminded by a doctor to go out in the sun more because he lacked vitamin D. And then, he said that the show was like a "natural treatment" because "after participating in this show, my lack of sunlight was cured, I could sunbathe completely". However, what he gained was more than physical health, it was the "happy vitamins" - something no doctor prescribed - that he got after overcoming challenges with his children, from ferrying, catching fish to bathing in the countryside.

"A lack of vitamin D can be cured by doctors. But a lack of time with your child, a lack of memories to grow up with your child, no doctor can cure," Neko Le confided. Perhaps that is the most profound thing that Dad, Where Are We Going? brings to Neko Le and is also a precious gift for anyone who is a father amidst the hustle and bustle of life.
