The Kremlin said on November 25 that it had noted that US President-elect Donald Trump's team discussed a peace plan for Ukraine, while criticizing the administration of President Joe Biden for only seeking to escalate the conflict.
Ukraine launches ballistic missiles into Russian territory
On November 25, Russia announced that its air defense systems had shot down eight ballistic missiles from Ukraine, but did not mention the type of missiles shot down or the locations where the interceptions were carried out.
On the same day, Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were also deployed towards a fuel storage facility in Russia's Kaluga region, according to Ukrainian sources.

"The target of the attack was the oil depot of the Kaluganefteprodukt Corporation," the source said.
TASS quoted Governor Vladislav Shapsha of Kaluga, located south of the capital Moscow, as confirming that air defense systems in the area shot down eight UAVs but at the same time an industrial facility was also on fire.

Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that Ukrainian armed forces used UAVs to attack the city of Shebekino in the province, killing one person and injuring another.
In the Kursk region, Russian security forces detained James Scott Rhys Anderson, a military instructor from the UK, according to TASS citing a source. Fighting between Russian and Ukrainian units continues here.

Russia attacks eastern and southern Ukraine
Also on November 25, Kyiv accused Russian forces of airstrikes on Odessa and Kharkiv, injuring many people.
Specifically, Russia fired missiles at the city of Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine, injuring 23 people and damaging more than 40 buildings, according to local civil and police leaders.
Another attack hit the southern city of Odessa, damaging several homes and injuring 10 people, Reuters reported, citing a statement from Ukraine's Interior Ministry.
Officials in Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhia also reported Russian UAV attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure in the two provinces.
Trump's adviser reveals strategy to resolve Ukraine conflict
Of the 145 UAVs used by Russia throughout the night of November 24 and early morning of November 25, Ukraine shot down 71 UAVs but lost track of the rest.
Before information from Ukraine, TASS quoted news from the Russian Defense Ministry confirming that in the past day, attacks had been launched on military airports and energy facilities in Ukraine.
A total of 138 regions of Ukraine have been targeted by Russian military missiles, mortars and UAVs.

Trump Team's Peace Plan
The Kremlin said on November 25 that it had recorded US President-elect Donald Trump's team discussing a peace plan for Ukraine, while accusing the administration of President Joe Biden of trying to escalate the conflict.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the comments during an interview with Mike Waltz, Trump's pick for national security adviser, on Fox News.
In the interview, Mr Waltz said Mr Trump was “deeply concerned” about the escalation of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
“What we need to discuss is who will be at the table, whether it will be a deal or a ceasefire, how to convince both sides to join the negotiating effort, and then the framework of the deal,” Waltz analyzed.
Kremlin: Russia ready to improve relations with US, but 'it takes two to tango'
Mr. Peskov said the Kremlin noted the above comments and Russian President Vladimir Putin repeatedly sent signals that Moscow was ready for dialogue on the Ukraine issue.
"In fact, from Trump supporters and nominees for positions in the future US administration, we hear the word 'peace' or 'peace plan'," TASS quoted the Kremlin spokesman as saying.
"No such words have come from the current (President Joe Biden) administration, while provocative escalation continues. That is the reality we face," said Mr. Peskov.
Earlier, Reuters quoted sources as saying that President Putin was ready to discuss a peace deal in Ukraine with Mr. Trump, but Kyiv had to accept some conditions from Moscow.
Reuters listed the things that President Putin would accept if Mr. Trump acted as a mediator: Ukraine would give up its ambition to join NATO and Moscow would not make any significant concessions on territorial issues.
