Textile industry accelerates production from the beginning of the year

Currently, many Vietnamese textile and garment enterprises have orders until the third quarter of 2025.

Branch   textile   Vietnam's economy is receiving growth signals in major markets such as the US, EU, Japan... when many units currently have orders until the end of the second quarter, even until the third quarter.

Textiles and garments are one of Vietnam's key industries, providing jobs for about 3 million workers, with an average growth rate of more than 10% per year. In 2024, despite being heavily affected by the global economic recession, textile and garment exports reached 44 billion USD, an increase of more than 11% over the previous year. With this figure, Vietnam's textile and garment exports surpassed Bangladesh, rising to second place after China in total export turnover.

Vietnamese textiles and garments are now exported to more than 100 countries and territories. In addition to traditional customers such as the US, EU, Japan, China, CPTPP (countries in the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans- Pacific Partnership), ASEAN countries, etc., Vietnamese textiles and garments have also exploited new markets such as Africa, the Middle East, etc.

From now until the end of the second quarter of 2025, the garment industry will continue to recover from the end of 2024. Enterprises also receive growth signals when major markets such as the US, EU, and Japan continue to recover, consumer demand increases, and inventories decrease sharply.

Textile and garment orders are expected to increase again as consumer demand in major markets increases during the holiday shopping season. Vietnam’s textile and garment exports are forecast to reach around US$46 billion this year, up 6% from last year.
