On the morning of September 17, the Department of Education and Training coordinated with the Dak Lak Provincial Education Trade Union to launch a movement to support people and the education sector in the northern provinces affected by storm No. 3.

Speaking at the launch of the movement, comrade Le Thi Thanh Xuan - Director of the Department of Education and Training shared: In recent days, people in the Northern provinces have suffered very heavy impacts and damages caused by super typhoon No. 3 and its circulation. It can be said that the damage to people and property of the people and the State is enormous. Not only the damage to people and property, but also the severe psychological trauma to many people in the disaster area, especially children, the elderly, vulnerable groups, including teachers and students of the Education sector. Therefore, in order to promptly contribute a part of responsibility, affection, sharing, and encouragement to people in the areas affected by storms and floods, the Department of Education and Training in coordination with the Education Trade Union of Dak Lak province has issued a document calling on all teachers, staff, and workers in the whole sector to donate and support in cash and in kind to support people in the flood areas.

Comrade Le Thi Thanh Xuan - Director of the Department of Education and Training delivered the opening speech.

The leaders of the Department of Education and Training, together with the leaders of the Education Trade Union, hope that schools and teachers will continue to spread the message of sharing to students. Thereby, they will arouse their awareness, responsibility and affection for the people in the flood-hit areas, as well as nurture in them humane feelings, noble gestures and practical actions. Above all, together promote the 6 pillars of Vietnam as Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh called on compatriots and comrades to overcome the consequences of super typhoon No. 3 so that our country can develop strongly and our people can be happy and prosperous.

Right at the launching ceremony, the staff, civil servants, and employees of the Dak Lak Department of Education and Training and its affiliated units (located in Buon Ma Thuot City) donated 579,242,032 VND.

It is known that during the flag-raising ceremony on Monday morning, September 16, in many forms, schools organized donations among all staff, teachers, employees, students, and trainees. The donated funds were transferred to the Fatherland Front at all levels.
