On the morning of September 20, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to grant the Investment Registration Certificate for the new Sunny Automotive Optical Vina facility investment project and witnessed the signing ceremony of cooperation between WHA Group and Sunny Group and suppliers at WHA Industrial Zone 1 - Nghe An .
Attending the ceremony, on the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Bui Thanh An - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of relevant departments, branches and sectors.
On the investor side, there were Mr. Diep Liaoning - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sunny Group; Pajongwit Pongsivapai - CEO of WHA Group; Tran Tieu Linh - General Director of Phuc Kien Tan Long Technology Co., Ltd.; Ta Cao Binh - General Director of Giang Tay Cao Giai Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd.; representative of Hop Luc Construction Joint Stock Company.
At the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded the Investment Certificate for the new Sunny Automotive Optical Vina facility investment project to investor Summit Optical Investment Limited (Hong Kong) under Sunny Group.
The project specializes in manufacturing, processing, assembling camera modules, screens, smart car lights, smart lighting, projection modules and mold processing, photoelectric assembly and testing equipment, glass lenses, plastic lenses.
The total investment of the project is 150 million USD on an area of 42.8 hectares in WHA Industrial Zone 1 - Nghe An (phase 2). The designed capacity of the project with the output of car cameras is about 60 million products/year; other products are 5 million products/year; office and factory for rent is about 370,000m2 . It is expected that by the fourth quarter of 2025, the project will be completed and officially put into operation, employing about 20,000 workers.
It is known that from July 5, 2023, Sunny Group began researching and surveying investment locations in Nghe An. After 2 months, on September 12, 2023, Sunny Group decided to choose the investment location at WHA Industrial Park and submitted a proposal to implement the project.
With the efforts of leaders and authorities of Nghe An province, just 1 week after the investor submitted the investment proposal, on September 20, 2023, Nghe An province granted the Investment Registration Certificate to Sunny Group.
