Artist Thuong Tin becomes a music video director to earn extra income

Recently, artist Thuong Tin attracted attention when he appeared in the MV "Cha" by singer Trong Nghia, acting alongside artists such as Hong Sap, Chi Tam... According to Thuong Tin, the content of the MV recreates slices of his own life. The male artist is also the director of this music product.

Sharing the reason for accepting to participate in the project, Thuong Tin said that the song has the meaning of father-child love, giving him a lot of inspiration to make it into an MV. "Through this song, I hope that those who still have parents will love them while they can, because this life is very impermanent," the artist said.

In a conversation with Dan Tri reporter in March, Thuong Tin shared that while waiting to be invited to act in a movie, he accepted to be a director and act in sitcoms to earn extra income.

According to the artist, despite his age and declining health, he still has to work to make ends meet and take care of his wife and children in the countryside. Thuong Tin’s biggest concern now is his daughter in primary school.

"Because of my circumstances, I have to live far from home, but I miss my daughter very much. I am old and sick, if something happens to me, who will take care of her? Her future will have many challenges and difficulties," Thuong Tin confided.

The song "Father" was composed by musician To Hieu and performed by singer Trong Nghia. According to To Hieu, the song was inspired by his childhood.

"I always remember the image of my father working in the fields during the day and coming home at night unable to sleep because of illness but still trying to work hard to raise his children to study. This is also the song I want to dedicate to my father and fathers around the world .

Because sons rarely express their feelings for their fathers directly. Through this song, I hope children will spend more time talking to their fathers," To Hieu added.

Talking about choosing to collaborate with Trong Nghia, To Hieu said: "My point of view before composing is to find someone with a suitable voice to perform. Trong Nghia has an emotional voice that is very suitable for this song."

Thuong Tin was born in 1956 in Phan Rang, and was one of the leading artists of the 80s and 90s. He left his mark on audiences through hundreds of roles in films such as "The Flip Card Game", "Saigon Special Forces", "The Rose on the Shirt"...

Once reaching the peak of his career, the male artist has had a difficult life in his old age.

In February 2021, Thuong Tin was suddenly hospitalized due to a stroke. Artist Trinh Kim Chi called for donations to help him with his treatment. However, he still had financial difficulties. For a while, the male artist had to make a living as a delivery man.
