The flood on the evening of July 22 caught many households in the center of Muong Xen commune off guard. Water rushed into houses, sweeping away trees and mud, causing furniture to be swept away or severely damaged.
At around 6 p.m. on July 22, floodwaters rose rapidly, forcing many households in Muong Xen commune to urgently evacuate people to safety, while their belongings could not be transported in time.
