(Dan Tri) - Just from the information of the account number that Ms. T. mistakenly transferred money to, Nam Duong Ward Police ( Da Nang ) helped the victim receive back the amount of 95 million VND.
On November 20, Nam Duong Ward Police (Hai Chau District, Da Nang City) said that they had just assisted a woman in receiving back the money she had mistakenly transferred to a stranger.
The incident occurred at 11:00 a.m. on November 19, when Ms. NTTT (59 years old, residing in Nam Duong ward) reported that she had mistakenly transferred 95 million VND to another person's account.

This woman only provided the account number she mistakenly transferred money to, and no other information.
Upon receiving the information, Nam Duong Ward Police contacted the bank to ask for the account owner's identification code information.
The police also looked up the national population database and identified Mr. PNHP (25 years old, temporarily residing in Lien Chieu district) as the account holder who received the mistaken money transfer.
After contacting Mr. P., he confirmed that he had received 95 million VND in his account and agreed to return the money to the owner.
However, because Mr. P's citizen identification card has expired and has not been registered for biometric identification, he cannot transfer money using Internet Banking service.
The ward police assisted and took Mr. P. and Ms. T. to the bank to receive the money transferred by mistake.
