Sharing with VTC News, singer Minh Quan said: "I was shocked and bewildered when I heard the news of Xuan Phuong's death. According to his family, Xuan Phuong passed away at 9am this morning. Many of us did not know that Phuong was sick because he hid it.
I just found out a few days ago that he was sick, but it was already in the final stages. I was still hoping for some miracle, but I didn't expect him to pass away so quickly."
The sudden passing of musician Xuan Phuong has left many colleagues and friends in mourning. On his personal page, director Do Thanh Hai quietly shared the soundtrack of the film Mong uoc ky niem xua as a farewell to his close friend.
Musician Xuan Phuong was born in 1973 in Hung Yen . He graduated from the Vietnam National Academy of Music. Since 2000, he has been a lecturer at the Military College of Culture and Arts, now the Military University of Culture and Arts. He then continued his postgraduate studies in folklore research at the Institute of Folklore.
Musician Xuan Phuong is the composer and theme song of many famous TV series, including the song Mong uoc ky niem xua performed by the 3A trio. This song was used in the movie Xin hay tin em. The song Loi ru cho con (film Cua de danh) and Loi chua noi (unspoken words) in the movie Phuong truong la bau troi (frontier sky) by director Do Thanh Hai.
