At the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Xuan Sang requested maritime port authorities to continuously review headquarters, service facilities, warehouses, factories and constructions in the management area to ensure safety before the storm makes landfall.

In addition, port authorities need to develop plans and organize the mobilization of ships in the area to participate in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters when situations arise.

The leaders of the Ministry of Construction directed the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center to fully prepare specialized search and rescue equipment, ensuring readiness to perform tasks immediately upon request.

Also on July 21, many seaports in Hai Phong and Quang Ninh temporarily stopped receiving ships and handling cargo to ensure safety. Seaport enterprises are tying up crane systems on piers; applying necessary measures to prevent negative impacts of natural disasters on maritime infrastructure, goods, machinery, equipment and means of production.

Port enterprises are also closely coordinating with port authorities and pilotage organizations to mobilize vessels operating in the port to avoid storms or to anchorage areas to avoid or shelter from storms. In special cases, vessels that cannot leave the wharf to avoid or shelter from storms will have specific plans to ensure the safety of vessels and wharfs.
