China , India, South Korea and Vietnam will participate in a drone light show competition in Nha Trang next summer.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism , said today that the Nha Trang International Light Bay Festival 2024 is expected to take place over 4 competition nights in July 2024 at two locations: April 2 Square and Hon Tre Island, Nha Trang City.
Each competition night, the teams will perform artistic lighting using drones for about 15 - 20 minutes.

The first competition night (July 6) has the theme "Hello Vietnam", the competition night on July 13 is "Glorious Ocean", July 20 - "Through the Heritage Land" and the final night (July 27) - "Nha Trang Shines".
It is expected that in addition to light drones and fireworks drones, teams will use other types of drones in the competition such as firefly drones, kites, agarwood, and flags.
"The Department of Tourism is urgently completing the draft plan to organize the festival to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval," said Ms. Thanh.
Six months ago, 1,653 drones, unmanned aerial vehicles, and light shows arranged into symbols and scenic spots at the Nha Trang Sea Festival 2023 attracted more than 600,000 visitors, contributing to the total tourism revenue in Khanh Hoa province reaching 550 billion VND.
