(NLDO) - A group of students and their parents were invited to the police station for questioning; three of them admitted to throwing rocks at the train.

On March 17, Nghia Binh Railway Joint Stock Company, Traffic Police Department, Vietnam Railway Authority and related units of Quang Ngai province worked with a group of students who threw rocks and broke the glass of train SE1.

According to information about the incident, at around 4:30 p.m. on March 16, when train SE1 was running from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City at Km 932+900 (in Nghia Trung commune, Tu Nghia district, Quang Ngai province), it discovered a group of children playing near the railway tracks with signs of throwing rocks at the train, so it blew the warning horn and signaled to the train crew.

From the train's journey video and information provided by local people, the police determined that the incident occurred at km 932+900, in Hamlet 2, Tan Hoi Village, Nghia Trung Commune. At the time, there were 7 children at the scene, aged 11-14, studying at schools in the commune.
