Chaos from "national photographers"

Người Lao ĐộngNgười Lao Động22/05/2024

Nowadays, with just a smartphone with mobile data connection, anyone can become a livestreamer, filming and taking photos to post on social networks. However, abusing this will create bad consequences for the social network environment as well as for real society.

An event organizer complained that nowadays it is really difficult to "protect the event" and keep it going according to the script. If not careful in managing and organizing information, serious events can be "sabotaged" by "national photographers". Many funerals of famous people have been exploited by many "photographers" to "get likes and views" on their personal accounts, and many people even "recklessly" get views at all costs to make money.

A recent "view-baiting" incident occurred when a group of 17 women from Kien Xuong town (Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province) on May 17 went out into the middle of the road to perform yoga exercises to film and take photos. On May 19, the authorities administratively fined 14 adults in the group for gathering in large numbers, lying down, and sitting on the road, obstructing traffic.

In fact, except in prohibited situations, citizens have the right to record and disseminate information about activities in social life. On the positive side, it helps spread information to the community. On the contrary, people also have the right to receive information.

The problem is that the authorities cannot punish these "photographers" if they have not acted rashly or excessively enough to violate the law and have to be prosecuted for disturbing public order. But no one can deny the chaotic and unsightly situation of these "photographers".

Therefore, it is necessary for the authorities to intervene to control and remind the "national photographers" to be conscious while "working". In addition, local authorities also need to strictly handle those who intentionally violate the law. And to avoid distortion, it is necessary to clarify that someone is punished not for "filming" but for "violating the law, causing social disturbance". Even though they are "national photographers", they still need to have a professional culture.
