Crowds of audiences flock to the third Da Nang Asian Film Festival

According to the cinemas, there were quite a lot of people and tourists coming to watch the movie. Many people came hours early to interact with the film crew and find the best seats.

Many audiences commented that the third DANAFF had many good films that had “made waves” in cinemas in recent times. In addition, a highlight of this film festival was the return of war films that contributed to historical education for today’s generation.

After 2 days of screening films at the third DANAFF, most of the seats at the screenings were filled, especially with “hot” films such as “Getting Rich with Ghosts”, “Loving the Wrong Best Friend”, “Wild Fields”, “Trang Quynh Nhi: The Legend of the Taurus”…

Notably, on the morning of June 30, at Le Do theater, there was also a program called “Korean Cinema Spotlight” with the appearance of star Moon So-ri and famous Korean directors and actors, attracting many audiences, especially young people, to interact and enjoy the film.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ha Vy, this film festival has the participation of more than 100 outstanding films with over 200 screenings at cinemas - the largest number ever.

Before the third DANAFF, the city issued more than 20,000 movie tickets to the public. All the tickets were quickly received by the public within 2 days.

This confirms the appeal of films in particular and DANAFF in general. At the same time, it also shows that after two successful events, the city has built a large audience of moviegoers, especially young people who always follow and support the film festival.

“With these positive signals, we expect the third DANAFF to continue its success, leaving an impression on guests, artists, actors and audiences. Thereby, affirming the city’s determination to develop DANAFF sustainably, professionally and with its own identity,” Mr. Ha Vy shared.
