Ninh Phuoc: Summary of 5 years of implementing the National Border Defense Day for the period 2019-2024

On November 22, Ninh Phuoc District People's Committee held a conference to review 5 years of implementing the People's Border Defense Day for the period 2019-2024.

Over the past 5 years of implementing the People's Border Day for the period of 2019-2024, the Ninh Phuoc District Party Committee and People's Committee have directed Party committees, authorities, departments, branches and organizations to closely coordinate with the Border Guard (BĐBP) to do a good job of propaganda in mobilizing the masses to build and protect the border and islands, which has been increasingly improved. In the past 5 years, the BĐBP has regularly coordinated with other forces to organize 240 patrols and controls with 768 participants; the Border Guard station organized 150 patrols with 520 officers and soldiers participating. Coordinated with local authorities, departments, branches and organizations to effectively implement programs and models such as: Movement "BĐBP joins hands to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas", "BĐBP joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind", Program "Breeding cows to help the poor in the border area" ...; Coordinated with localities to sponsor 2 students for 500,000 VND/month under the program "Helping children go to school" and 9 students under the project "Army officers and soldiers help children go to school"... Thereby, mobilizing the combined strength of Border Defense work, building a People's Border Defense posture, maintaining territorial sovereignty , security and order in the coastal border area, creating conditions for socio-economic development in the district.

Deploying tasks in the coming time, Ninh Phuoc district continues to thoroughly grasp and implement Resolution 8 of the Central Committee (11th tenure) on the Strategy for protecting the Fatherland in the new situation, Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the Strategy for protecting the national border, Directive of the Government, Directive of the Provincial Party Committee, plan of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing "National Border Defense Day". Strengthening propaganda and dissemination of the Party and State's guidelines, policies and laws related to building and protecting borders and islands; propagating about borders, islands, and the Border Guard to raise the people's revolutionary vigilance against all plots and tricks of sabotage activities of hostile forces. Focusing on building a clean and strong political system in the district's coastal border area; effectively implementing socio-economic development programs, hunger eradication and poverty reduction programs in the district's coastal border area; Implement coordination programs between departments, unions at district and commune levels with Phuoc Dinh Border Guard Station on building and consolidating the grassroots political system, associated with socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security.

On this occasion, Ninh Phuoc District People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 4 collectives and 6 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the People's Border Day for the period 2019-2024.
